Aspiring barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials may have to wait longer, as the Senate has approved on second reading a bill seeking the postponement of elections scheduled for next year.

Senate Bill No. 1043 which seeks to move the May 2020 polls to December 2022, was given the nod by Senators on Sept. 25, Tuesday. The proposed measure also provides for subsequent elections every three years thereafter.
